    Kevin Ford Mench was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 7, 1978. He attended college at the University of Delaware. In 1999, Mench was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
  • Pro Career

    On April 9, 2002, Mench made his MLB debut with the Texas Rangers. In his first season, he appeared in 110 games and finished the season with a .260 batting average with 15 home runs and 60 runs batted in. In 2006, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers with Lance Nix, Julian Cordero and Francisco Cordero for Carlos Lee and Nelson Cruz. He appeared in 101 games for the Brewers in 2007, and finished the season with a .267 batting average with 37 runs batted in and 8 home runs . In 2008, he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for cash.
