Adult film broker Kevin Blatt was named as a defendant in the $20 million lawsuit against TMZ filed by Verne Troyer. Blatt was rumored to have been entertaining a $100,000 offer from SugarDVD for Troyer's sex tape.

On July 1, 2008, a judge ruled in favor of Troyer by prohibiting the distribution of the Troyer sex tape. The judge did not prevent TMZ from airing the clips.
