Kettle Corn

Kettle Corn is variety of popcorn to which both sugar and salt are added, giving it a sweet and salty flavor. The corn is typically popped in iron kettles and then seasoned.

Making Your Own Kettle Corn

Ingredients

  1. 2/3 cup popcorn
  2. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  3. 1/4 cup sugar
  4. salt

Directions

Take a large skillet and over medium heat add oil. Cover with a lid. Once hot add popcorn and continue to heat until first kernel pops. Add in the sugar and dissolve and then cover and continue to shake the skillet. Watch out for burning popcorn! After the popcorn is fully popped, pour into a bowl and season with salt.
