Kerri Kenney-Silver is a writer, singer, comedian, actress and voice actor. She plays the role of Deputy Trudy Wiegel on Comedy Central's Reno 911!.
Kenney-Silver began her performing career in the early 1990s as a member of the improv comedy troupe The State. The State was picked up by MTV and ran as a half-hour sketch-comedy show for three seasons between 1993 and 1995. In 1996, Kenney-Silver co-wrote and starred in Comedy Central's Viva Variety, a variety show parody.
During this time, Kenney-Silver also contributed her vocal talents to the children's show Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Nickolodeon's Invader Zim. Since 2003, Kenney-Silver has starred as Deputy Trudy Wiegel on Comedy Central's Reno 911!.
Kenney-Silver married cinematographer Steven V. Silver in 2005 and gave birth to a son in August 2005.
