Kerby Revelus

Kerby Revelus killed two of his sisters and injured a third on March 28, 2009, in the Boston suburb of Milton.

Revelus used a kitchen knife in the brutal attacks, fatally stabbing 17-year-old Samantha and decapitating five-year-old Bianca as the family celebrated her fifth birthday. Ernst Guerrier, a friend speaking on behalf of Regina and Vonze Revelus, has announced that funeral services will be held for all three of their children together, despite the tragic circumstances in which they died. According to Guerrier, no matter how horrific the events, all three were still their children. The wake will take place on Friday evening, April 3, 3009, and the funeral will be held on April 4 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rosindale. On April 4, 2009, more than 700 people gathered for the funeral of Kerby, Bianca and Samantha Revelus. Those in attendance openly mourned and cried during the two-hour service, which was delivered in English, Creole and French due to the family's roots in Haiti. On March 28, 2009, Kerby Revelus killed two of his sisters and injured a third at their home in the Boston suburb of Milton. Nine-year-old Saraphina called 9-1-1 during the attacks, and police arrived soon after. Revelus had already stabbed and killed his 17-year-old sister Samantha and was holding his five-year-old sister Bianca when they arrived. He decapitated her just as the officers entered the room, and then made a lunge for Saraphina, prompting officers to shoot and kill Kerby Revelus. The day before the stabbings, Kerby Revelus had a fistfight with a neighbor that is believed to have prompted the attacks, which police believe was directed at 17-year-old Samantha Revelus. The stabbings occurred during a birthday celebration for Bianca, who turned five on March 27. Kerby Revelus had previous encounters with the law, and had recently been in jail over a gun charge.
