Kenny Pettway is a defensive end who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. He was signed by the Packers to replace the injured Cullen Jenkins.
Pettway was in a Cadillac Escalade with teammate Richard Collier when a car pulled up beside them and fired into the car. Though Pettway escaped unharmed, Collier was shot 14 times, ending his career and forcing the amputation of one of his legs.ESPN.com: Jaguars Collier critical after shooting
From Texas to Wisconsin
Drafted by the Houston Texans, Pettway played on their practice squad and saw limited action in regular season games. Though resigning with the Texans in the 2006 offseason, the team released him and Pettway signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played in several regular season games over a span of two years. He was released by the Jaguars after their 2008 training camp, signing with the Green Bay Packers a month later to bulk up their injury-ridden defensive line.
