In October 2008, Wilkinson and Hefner split. Shortly after their split, Wilkinson became engaged to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett.

Hefner saw one of her photos and demanded to meet her in person. Soon after that, Hefner asked Wilkinson to be one of his girlfriends and she moved into the Playboy mansion.
