Professional football cornerback Kelvin Hayden plays for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.
According to ESPN, Hayden and the Colts agreed to a five-year contract worth approximately $43 million on February 18, 2009. The deal includes a guaranteed payout of $22 million.
College Football Career
After high school, Hayden played at Joliet Junior College before joining the Illinois Fighting Illini to play college football in 2003. NFL Career
Hayden was selected 60th overall in the 2005 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He joined the Colts for his NFL debut that same year, playing in all 16 games and totaling 26 tackles. Hayden started his first game in 2006, and recorded 36 tackles during the season. He continued with the Colts as they defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17 to win Super Bowl XLI.
