Kelly Brian Shoppach was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 29, 1980. He attended college at Baylor University. In 2001, he was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the second round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.Baseball-Reference.com: Kelly Shoppach
Pro Career
On May 28, 2005, Shoppach made his MLB debut with the Boston Red Sox. In 2006, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians with Andy Marte and Guillermo Mota for Coco Crisp, David Riske and Josh Bard.
