    Celebrity gossip blog Just Jared reported in February 2009 that Rowland, along with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi and Fern Mallis, had been chosen as a celebrity judge on the upcoming Bravo Network program The Fashion Show.     Kelly Rowland was a member of Destinys Child from 1997 until 2001 when it was announced they were breaking up in order to pursue solo projects.

    Rowland released her debut solo album, Simply Deep, in 2002. The following year, she won a Grammy for her collaboration with R&B star Nelly. Her second album, Ms. Kelly, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

    Rowlan has also appeared on several television shows, including The Hughleys, Girlfriends, and Eve TV Show. In 2003, she made her big screen debut in the film Freddy vs. Jason.

  • Departure

    Rowland announced in late March of 2009 that she is leaving her record label Columbia Records in order "to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone." However, other reports have surfaced stating that Columbia dropped Rowland because she is "no longer commercially viable."
