Arrest
Bensimon was arrested and charged with assault in March 2009 after her boyfriend Nicolas Stefanov said that she hit him. Stefanov said the alleged assault resulted in a laceration and substantial pain. Stefanov says that he loves Bensimon and that he believes the alleged assault was a result of stress. According to Stefanov, the couple was fighting about the "usual stuff that couples fight about" when Bensimon took off her engagement ring and punched him.
