Florida actor Kelly Kellerman was accidentally shot in the head on January 19, 2009, when a gun went off during a dress rehearsal for a play in Bradenton. The "prop gun" being used in the production of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men was actually a live gun. According to reports, director Bill Bordy pointed what he thought was a fake gun at the 81-year-old Kellerman and fired one shot at point-blank range. The bullet only grazed Kellerman's skull and left him with a small cut above one ear.10connects.com: Actor shot...prop gun turns out to be real and loaded Guardian.co.uk: Director accidentally shoots actor during play rehearsal
