Kelly Jones, a 19-year-old student from the University of Miami was found semi-conscious on April 6, 2008, near a campus dormitory at Mahoney Residential College, 1101 Stanford Drive, around 10 a.m. She was transported to the hospital where she later died.
Law enforcement authorities aren't entirely sure what happened but they feel she may have fallen accidentally from a balcony and as a result suffered fatal injuries. It is unknown whether or not alcohol played a factor. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2008, to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are asking that anyone who may have information about what happened to Kelly Jones to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 305-471-8477.
