Kelly Carlin-McCall is the daughter and only child of late comedian George Carlin. Her mother, Brenda Hosbrook Carlin, died of liver cancer in 1997.
Biography
Carlin-McCall was born in 1963, shortly after her parents' wedding. A comedian and writer in her own right, Carlin-McCall produced and starred in her own one-woman show, Driven to Distraction, and has written for her father's comedy specials. Her piece, "Mother's Day," written in her capacity as a blogger for the Huffington Post, is a touching and wrenching account of caring for her mother during her last two days in 1997. Carlin-McCall graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is a psychological counselor.
