Career
Wayans was a engineering student at Tuskegee University when he decided to drop out and become a comedian. He appeared in bit roles in television shows, including CHiPs, Cheers, and For Love or Honor, but found his big break as a writer on the Eddie Murphy concert film Raw. After this, he was a supporting actor in the film Hollywood Shuffle directed by Robert Townsend. By 1990, Wayans had developed the concept for the show In Living Color, which featured four of his siblings and fellow comedians David Alan Grier, Jim Carrey, and Tommy Davidson. "Home Shoplifting Network" Skit from In Living Color
The television sketch comedy show "In Living Color" was created and produced by Keenen Ivory Wayans. In the early episodes, Wayans himself appeared in some of the show's sketches, including one for the "Home Shoplifting Network". This video shows the first Home Shoplifting Network skit that aired on the show. The skit popularized the phrase "Mo' Money".
