Kay Bailey Hutchison is a Republican Senator from Texas. She was the first woman to represent Texas as a senator, and is currently the U.S. Senate's senior female member. She is currently running for governor of Texas, and will be one of several candidates involved in a primary being held on March 2, 2010.
Political Future
Hutchison has no plans to run for re-election following her current term, and is considered a possible candidate for the Texas gubernatorial election in 2010.
