  • The Kauhajoki School of Hospitality is a vocational college in Kauhajoki, Finland, where ten students were gunned down by Matti Juhani Saari, a second-year chef trainee at the institution. Saari committed suicide after the incident by shooting himself in the head.
  • The Shooting

    Saari, who had posted YouTube videos showing himself firing a Walther P22 pistol in the weeks preceding the attack, reportedly walked into the school wearing a ski mask and carrying a large bag. The attack apparently lasted for 90 minutes, and smoke was seen billowing out of the school's windows
