Katie Hoff is a member of the United States Olympic swim team. She participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Hoff won one silver and two bronze medals. She took home an individual silver medal in the 400 meter freestyle event and an individual bronze medal in the 400 meter individual medley. On June 29, 2008, Hoff broke the world record in the 400-meter individual medley with a time of 4:31.12.Baltimore Sun: Hoff again on top of the world (June 30, 2008) She lives near Baltimore, Maryland and trains with coach Paul Yetter. Her teammates are Natalie Coughlin, Whitney Myers and Kaitlin Sandeno.
