Katie Cassidy

Katie Cassidy is an American actress and singer. She was born on November 25, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actor and singer David Cassidy and model Sherry Benedon. Her grandparents are the late actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward. Cassidy was romantically linked to singer, Jesse McCartney.

In 2009, Cassidy was cast in the remake of Melrose Place.

Cassidy began her career as a model. She modeled for famous labels such as Abercrombie and Fitch and Rock and Republic. In 2005, she landed a role in 7th Heaven as Zoe. Later that year, she guest starred in the drama Sex, Love & Secrets. From there, she played in When a Stranger Calls, Click, Black Christmas, Live!, and Supernatural. Her recent work include the films Taken and Harpers Island. She has been cast in the rework of A Nightmare On Elm Street which is due in theaters in April of 2010.
