Kathy Ireland

Kathy Ireland is an American actress, model and best-selling author. She is the CEO of Kathy Ireland Worldwide and was the cover girl for the best selling Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue of all-time in 1989.

At the age of 18, Ireland became a Christian. Kathy Ireland is married with three children. In May 2008 Ireland and her family were caught in the Santa Barbara, CA wild fired. Her family was forced to evacuate their two residences. Kathy participated in the Season 9 cast of Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with dancer Tony Dovolani and stayed in the show for six weeks before being voted off. During her time on camera she delivered an awkward performance which lead to media outlets suspecting her to being on meds or drinking. Ireland began modeling at the age of 17 and quickly appeared on the covers of numerous magazines and in print advertising campaigns. 1984 marked the first of twelve appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She segued into acting, appearing in such films as Mr. Destiny and Necessary Roughness, and television series such as Melrose Place, Suddenly Susan and Touched by an Angel. In 1993, she launched her own incorporated company, which grew into a billion dollar a year enterprise. Products from her company include flooring, rugs, home furniture, domestic products, jewelry and a clothing line.
