  • Kathleen Kennedy is an American film producer that has been nominated for five Academy Awards. She is best known for working on films such as War of the Worlds, Signs, and The Spiderwick Chronicles. In 2008 she worked on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Jurassic Park 4.

    On March 11, 2009, Kennedy announced that she and husband Frank Marshall will be leaving Universal Studios and have secured a new deal at Columbia Pictures.

  • Early Life

    Kennedy's first job out of college was at a local TV station in San Diego rotating technical jobs as a camera operator, editor, and floor director. After this experience she ventured to produce her own local talk show called You're On and four years later moved to Los Angeles to work in the industry. Her first credit was a production assistant on Steven Spielberg's film 1941 in 1979. From that job, Kennedy became Spielberg's assistant and three years later co-produced Poltergeist in 1982.
