Katherine Jackson is the mother of the late Michael Jackson and the Jackson family, including Janet Jackson. She married Joseph Jackson in 1949.
After the sudden death of Michael Jackson, a family spokesperson said his children, Paris, Prince and Prince Michael II, were in the custody of Katherine Jackson.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529387,00.html
Jackson's mother filed for guardianship of her three grandchildren, and was granted temporary custody. Following the hearing on August 3, 2009, she was granted custody of the children.
