Kate Mara is a film and television actress. Her most familiar roles include that of Sarah Fenn in the 2007 film Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg, and waitress Annie Cantrell in the 2006 movie We Are Marshall. In 2008, three films of hers are set to be released: Transsiberian, which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, Stone of Destiny, and The Open Road. Her father, Chris Mara, is the Vice President of Player Evaluation for the New York Giants.

Mara has sung the Star-Spangled Banner at several NFL games, which should really come as no surprise given her ancestry. She is the great granddaughter of both New York Giants founder Tim Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney, and the granddaughter of Wellington Mara, who was the owner of the New York Giants until his recent passing. She has stated publicly that she puts clauses in her contract which free her up to watch Steelers and Giants games.
