Life and Career
Karl Urban was born in Wellington, New Zealand. He dropped out after his first year of college at Victoria University of Wellington to pursue a career in acting. He soon got his break on the TV show Shortland Street, which led to more work in films and TV.His big break into Hollywood came when he starred as Eomer in The Lord of the Rings film series and as Kirill in The Bourne Supremacy.
He is currently set to play Leonard McCoy in the 2009 Star Trek film.
