Karen O is the stage name of the singer and songwriter who fronts the art rock band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Her full name is Karen Lee Orzolek, and was born in America to Korean and Polish parents. Yeah Yeah Yeahs has been her only official music project. She is also known for her unique fashion sense both on- and offstage. Her performances with the band have been characterized by high energy and rather outlandish behavior while on stage, all of which have made her something of a sex symbol amongst music fans.
