Kareena Kapoor was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra into one of the most prominent films families in India.She was meant to make her debut in Kaho Naa...Pyar Hai opposite actor Hrithik Roshan, but she dropped out after a few days of filming. She instead made her debut in the film Refugee', which was a moderate success. Her biggest big office hit to date has been Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham opposite Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, and Hrithik Roshan.
She recently starred in Jab We Met opposite Shahid Kapoor, which earned her a Filmfare Best Actress award.
