Early Life
Kareem Lamar Rush was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 30, 1980. He attended Pembroke Hill School, where he would establish himself as an elite high school prospect. After graduating he attended the University of Missouri. In 2002, he would declare himself eligible for the NBA Draft after enjoying a successful college career. -
Pro Career
Rush was selected with the 20th pick in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors, he was then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. In Los Angeles, Rush would establish himself as a role player and three point shooter. In 2004, Rush was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats for two second round draft picks where he was used as a spot starter. In 2006, he signed with the Seattle SuperSonics but was later waived. Rush would then sign with the Indiana Pacers in 2007 after playing professionally briefly in Europe. -
