Kara Drew

Categories: Entertainment
  • Kara Drew is a former WWE Diva. Her ringnames included "Cherry Pie", "Kara Slice", and currently "Cherry". One of Drew's first wrestling accomplishments was winning the Jersey Championship Wrestling Women's Title. Drew began her career in 1999 as a manager with IWF and has managed ten different wrestlers and two tag teams. As a manager, Drew started training with Gino Caruso at ECPW, wrestling in a few east coast federation matches. In 2003 Drew focused more on wrestling and less on managing. Drew made her debut in the world of professional wrestling with a promotion called Stars and Stripes Championship in Nutley, New Jersey. She had this gimmick on the Independent Circuit perfoming as a cheerleader wearing the letter "K" on her top. Drew wrestled all over the Independent Circuit until 2005 when she relocated to Louisville, Kentucky to wrestle in the Ohio Valley Wrestling as "Kara Slice", trying to earn a WWE Developmental contract. In 2006 Drew was signed by the WWE to a developmental contract she worked hard to earn. Drew made her WWE debut as "Cherry Pie" the valet of The Throwbacks. Cherry Pie followed the 1950's theme of The Throwbacks wearing roller skates and poodle skirts. In mid 2006, Drew dropped "Pie" from her name and became known as "Cherry". Drew started working with Shawn Spears and Cody Rhodes before later leaving them to go back to Deuce and Domino, helping them win the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship. In 2007, Drew helped Deuce and Domino win the WWE Tag Team Championship. On March 7, 2008, Drew competed in a swimsuit contest with other wrestlers Maryse, Victoria, Eve Torres and Michelle McCool.
