Engagement

DioGuardi and her boyfriend, Mike McCuddy, became engaged on December 8, 2008, during their vacation in Mexico. DioGuardi had this to say about her engagement, "I was in, of course, my thermal smiley-face pajamas that one of my best friends gave me for Christmas. He said, 'I have a question: Do you know where my shoes are?'" After answering that she didn't know where his shoes were, McCuddy asked, "All right, well then will you marry me?" Performance with Bikini Girl

On May 20, 2009, DioGuardi surprised Katrina Darrell (aka) bikini girl by singing with her on stage at the live season finale of American Idol. Fighting an Eating Disorder

In late April of 2009, Kara DioGuardi admitted to having been a binge eater, she denied ever making herself throw up or starving herself. This is an amazing song called "My Bra" that she wrote. It is about going through cancer, which she experienced with her mom, who passed away 10 years ago. She really truly is an amazing singer. Whenever I get down, this song is what I'm going to listen to. You can see and feel her passion while she's singing it. At the end of the video she explains why they called the song "My Bra."
This is the best song I have heard out in a while. I hope she's still going to be on American Idol
