Deathrow Records founder Suge Knight is suing rapper Kanye West for negligence, personal injury and premises liability over an incident that occurred in 2005.
Suge Knight was attending a party West was hosting in Miami on the eve of the 2005 MTV VMA's. Knight was shot in the leg and reportedly robbed of a diamond stud earring worth $135,000. According to court documents, Knight blames West for allowing a gun to get past security. 2005 Shooting
The shooting took place at the Shore Club Hotel in Miami, Florida on August 27, 2005. Suge Knight was shot in the leg, which resulted in a fractured bone.
