Kansas polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm on Election Day, November 4, 2008. The winner of the majority of the state's votes will win 6 total electoral votes. Republican John McCain has consistently led Democrat Barack Obama in polls in Kansas throughout the entire 2008 electoral process, typically by a margin of 10 points or greater. McCain's lead going into election day was about 56% to 39%, making him the presumptive winner. Incumbent Republican Senator Pat Roberts also appears poised to win big, in his case against Democratic challenger Jim Slattery.
