Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals play in the Central Division of Major League Baseball's American League. In it's franchise history the Royals have won six West Division Titles, Two American League Championships, and one World Series title. In 1985, the Royals would win their first World Series, led by Bret Saberhagen who would win the Cy Young Award that year,the relief pitching of Dan Quisenberry, and the all around play of slugger George Brett the Royals would earn the West Division title. In the American League Championship Series the Royals would face the Toronto Blue Jays. The Royals would go down three games to one before storming a come back to force a game seven where they would eventually win. In the 1985 World Series, the Royals would face the St. Louis Cardinals. The Royals would again force a game seven eventually winning the final game with a lopsided score of 11-0.
