In 2009, the Kansas City Chiefs bottomed out with a 4-12 regular season record but did succeed in knocking-out two playoff hopefuls in the Pittsburgh Steelers and their division rivals the Denver Broncos. In 2010, the Chiefs hope to make strides toward respectability.
Kansas City will play 8 home games and 8 away games in their 16-game NFL regular season. Their home games are all played at [[Arrowhead Stadium] in Kansas City. Based on their last place finish during the 2009 season, the Chiefs will play a favorable last place schedule, as well as games against their AFC West opponents, teams in the rugged AFC South, and teams in the NFC West. The Chiefs are a team in transition led by ex-Patriot quarterback Matt Cassel, running back Jamaal Charles, and star receiver Dwayne Bowe. They will look to start by making progress in their own division with home and away series against the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers. They also have additional home dates with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers of the NFC West, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs complete their road schedule with visits to the NFC West teams the Seattle Seahawks, and St. Louis Rams, as well as the Cleveland Browns, and AFC South foes the Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans. http://www.kcchiefs.com/team/

The highlight of the Chiefs 2010 season just might be the home opener on Monday Night Football on opening weekend. Kansas City has reason for hope with a favorable schedule ranking 23rd in the league. Circle divisional games in the latter half of the year against the Chargers and Raiders as potential make or break games as the Chiefs make a run at the playoffs in 2010.http://www.nfl.com/schedules/interactive#/team=KC
