Kane

Kane (real name Glen Jacobs) is an actor and professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He currently holds the ECW Championship.

On April 26, 2009, Kane defeated CM Punk at the 2009 Backlash pay-per-view. Skysports: Backlash round-up (April 27, 2009)

Jacobs made his debut with the WWF in 1995 as Jerry Lawler's private dentist, Dr. Isaac Yankem DDS. Lawler brought him in to wrestle Bret Hart, who he had been feuding with. After the brief Isaac Yankem angle, Jacobs played the "fake Diesel" after wrestlers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall left the company.

In 1997, Jacobs was repackaged as Kane, the masked younger half-brother of The Undertaker. According to the stroyline, Kane was thought to have been killed in a fire as a child and that his mask was used to hide his hideously scarred face. Kane feuded with the Undertaker, leading to a match at WrestleMania XIV. The two would have numerous battles over the years. In 2003, After many feuds and heel/face turns, Kane shed the mask he had worn for several years and made one of his heel turns. He has been without the mask ever since.

Kane has remained one of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE since his character debuted in 1997.
