Kafka s a 1991 movie written by Lem Dobbs and directed by Steven Soderbergh. It is a surreal story about the life of writer Franz Kafka, and stars Jeremy Irons, Theresa Russell , Sir Ian Holm, Jeroen Krabbe, Joel Grey, Armin Mueller-Stahl and Sir Alec Guinness.
Plot Synopsis
The movie follows Franz Kafka, who lives a split life. During the day Kafka is a regular worker at a large insurance company, but he spends his outside work hours writing a surreal book. This quiet, ordinary man becomes involved in a murder investigation, which causes him to start one himself too. Kafka starts on a chase that becomes just as surreal as the books he writes, mixing the real and surreal world.
