    Kabir Bedi was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He attended Sherwood College in Nainital.

    Bedi's big career break came when he was cast as the lead in the Italian TV mini-series Sandokan. He later reprised the role when it was adapted for the big screen.

    Since then he has been working steadily in a variety of countries and genres. He also starred in American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

    He is said to be working on Deepa Mehta's Kamagata Maru.
