Justin Morneau

  • Justin Morneau is a first baseman for the Minnesota Twins. Morneau attended New Westminster Secondary school in New Westminster, BC, where Morneau helped lead the baseball team there to two Canadian National Championships. After high school, Morneau was selected in the third round of the 1999 amateur draft. After four years in the Twins farm system, Morneau made his MLB debut on June 10, 2003.

    Morneau enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2006, Batting Average .321 with 130 Runs Batted In and 34 Home Run. Morneau would go on the win the Silver Slugger Award, and was named American League MVP despite not making the All-Star team that year. Morneau made his first All-Star team in 2007, and won the Home Run Derby in 2008.
