  • Football Career

    Hartwig began his career playing college football for the Kansas Jayhawks in the NCAA. After redshirting in 1997, he played in 38 games at Kansas, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors following his junior and senior seasons.     Making his professional debut with the Tennessee Titans in 2002, Hartwig played just three games his first season. He earned a starting position in 2003, starting 47 games with the Titans over the next three seasons. In 2006, Hartwig signed as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers. He was limited to two games that season with a groin injury, but returned for 15 games in 2007.
