Jurassic 5 was an underground Hip-Hop group from Los Angeles that gained popularity in the late 1990s with their unique brand of socially conscience lyrics, elastic wordplay, and four-part call and response choruses. With four MCs and 2 DJs, Jurassic 5's self-titled debut EP became an instant underground classic and helped them get a major label deal for their follow up album Quality Control. While Cut Chemist left in 2005, the remaining members continued to record and tour until their official breakup announcement in 2007.
