Jupiter Rising is an American hip-hop duo from Los Angeles, California. The group initially consisted of Spencer Nezey and 80 Bug, who started Jupiter Rising after meeting each other in the Los Angeles dance club scene. They began developing new material for a six-piece band that 8o had already assembled but quickly scrapped after recognizing that as a duo their work was of better quality. They caught the attention of Chime Entertainment and recorded a self-titled album which was released in 2006. In 2007 Jessie Payo replaced 80 as the lead singer on Jupiter Rising's sophomore effort Electropop.
