  • The Jungle Brothers were one of the first bands to merge Jazz with hip-hop in the mid-1980s. The band was strongly influenced by James Brown and Stevie Wonder, even using samples of their music to create their own style. The Jungle Brothers gained popularity with their debut 1988 album Straight Out The Jungle.
