American actress, June Lockhart, made her career primarily on television series and soap operas. Lockhart replaced Cloris Leachman as Ruth Martin, Timmy's mother, in the 1950s CBS series, Lassie. She then went on to star in another popular CBS series, Lost in Space, as Dr. Maureen Robinson, the wife of Professor John Robinson (Guy Williams).
