Martins was discovered at the age of 13 when she entered a modeling competition held by Elite Model Management. Following the contest, Martins signed with Elite and began her modeling career in 1999. In addition to print campaigns for several top designers, Martins was featured in the 2003 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She has also appeared Harper's Bazaar.Personal Life
