    Peterson began his career playing college football with the Valley Forge Military Academy Trojans, recording 39.5 sacks over two seasons. He transferred to the Michigan State Spartans prior to his junior season and went on the tally 140 tackles and 25 sacks. Peterson earned an All-American selection after his senior season.
  • NFL Career

    After college, Peterson was selected 16th overall in the 2000 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He made his professional debut that same year, playing in 13 regular season games. After earning a starting roster spot in 2001, Peterson went on to play a total of six seasons with the 49ers.
