She has come under fire for having been a member of a group called the Socialist Forum, which took extreme left wing positions. Gillard maintains that her involvement was minor, and limited to her student years.In 2008, the Herald Sun newspaper alleged that they had documents describing her as a member of the management team, whose involvement lasted at least until 2002.
