Jud Suss (translated: "The Jew Seuss") is a 1940 German film based on the life of German-Jewish financier Joseph Oppenheimer. Plot Synopsis
In this lush costume melodrama, an ambitious Jewish-born businessman, Joseph Suess Oppenheimer, manipulates the Duke of Wurttemberg, Karl Alexander, in order to amass great wealth and power. He is eventually undone when the people of Wurttemberg rise up against him, and is executed for treason, fraud and sleeping with a Christian woman.
