Pro Career
On September 2, 1997, Encarnacion made his MLB debut with the Detroit Tigers. He has played for several teams throughout his career including the Cincinnati Reds, Florida Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. In 2006, Encarnacion appeared in 153 games and hit 19 homeruns with 79 runs batted in.
