Joyce Carol Oates is a world-renowned American author and is currently a humanities professor in the Art of Creative Writing at Princeton University. Oates is known for her novels and novellas, as well as for her short stories and plays. Some of her best known works include Big Mouth, Ugly Girl, Beasts and the short story "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?".
Career
Joyce Carol Oates began her career at an early age (publishing her first novel at age twenty-six) and has published prolifically ever since. She is currently a professor at Princeton University and serves as an associate editor for the Ontario Review, which her husband edited for more than thirty years.
