    • Control is a film about the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis.
  • Joy Division was a New Wave Punk Rock band from Manchester, England that became one of the most influential and critically praised bands of the Post-Punk era. After coming to the attention of Factory Records head Tony Wilson, the band cut their debut album in 1979 and received immediate praise from the British music press. While their career was cut short by the death of lead singer Ian Cutris, the band's influence on a generation of up and coming Alternative Rock bands is well documented. After the death of Curtis, the remaining members of the band went on to found the seminal group New Order.
