  • Powerhouse UK soul singer Joss Stone signed a deal with S-Curve Records at the age of 16 and released her third album, Introducing Joss Stone, before her twentieth birthday. She had a major breakout success with her remake of The White Stripes "Fell In Love With a Girl."
  • Background

    Stone grew up listening to American soul music, particularly that of Aretha Franklin. Soon, Stone began to realize that she too possessed an impressive vocal style similar to her idols. In 2002, Stone left her family home in Devon, England to attend an audition with S-Curve CEO Steve Greenberg in New York City. Stone sang a rendition of Donna Summer's "On the Radio," and quickly inked a record deal with S-Curve.
